Job summary

HES is seeking a part-time day custodian in Front Royal, VA to maintain cleanliness, safety, and functionality of school facilities. The role supports classrooms and teachers by assisting with setup and routine maintenance.

Responsibilities

• Sweep, mop, vacuum, scrub, and wax floors.
• Machine shampoo carpeting.
• Clean walls, vents, screens, furniture, drinking fountains, light fixtures, window blinds, brass, and other interior fixtures
• Wash interior and exterior windows and glass doors.
• Sweep entryways, empty exterior cigarette urns, and empty trashcans outside entrances.
• Clean restrooms, plunger sinks and toilets, and replenish supplies.
• Change interior light bulbs reachable from up to sixth step of a ladder.
• Complete work requests to notify management of needed repairs.
• Remove snow and ice and apply salt/ice melting products as needed.
• Organize and supply custodial closets as needed.
• Move, remove, and set up furniture and equipment for special functions.
• Additional job-related duties as required by the supervisor.
