Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years old.
• Must pass a background check provided by the district.
• Must be clean and neat in appearance and in personal habits.
• Must be able to lift 50 lbs without difficulty.
• Must be able to clean assigned areas of the building.
• Must be able to wear and use a backpack vacuum, this requires frequent twisting and bending.
• Must be loyal and able to keep confidences.
• Must be able to assist with grounds care and snow removal as assigned.
• Must agree to attend in-person district Part-time Custodial training course (NCOT).
• Must dress appropriately which includes school dress code plus proper foot wear such as closed toe shoes.
• Must use appropriate Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) such as gloves and safety glasses as required.
• May be assigned to secure the school building at the end of the working shift and accept responsibility for that assignment.
• Other duties as assigned.
• Attendance is an Essential Function of this Position.
• Physical presence at the worksite is an essential function of this position.

Responsibilities

• The position of part-time Custodian was created to assist with the cleaning of schools and other District facilities; providing assistance to teachers, students and staff as directed by the Head Custodian or Assistant Head Custodian.
• Assists other personnel as may be required for the purpose of supporting them in the completion of their work activities.
