Job summary

Qualifications

• Knowledge of cleaning methods, materials, and equipment used in custodial work.
• Knowledge of floor cleaning and finishing methods.
• Familiarity with safety procedures and chemical handling.
• Basic first aid knowledge and SDS reading.
• Ability to read, write and speak English.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Responsibilities

• Following an assigned schedule to clean classrooms, offices, cafeterias, gymnasiums and other facilities.
• Operate custodial equipment such as vacuums, floor buffers and tools.
• Dust, wipe surfaces, wash windows and restrooms, replenish supplies.
• Clean floors, disinfect areas and dispose of trash daily.
• Assist with special events and minor maintenance tasks.
• Respond to safety concerns and participate in drills.
