Responsibilities

• Assists children through intersections and thoroughfares at established crosswalks.
• Instructs children in appropriate signals and directs them in accordance with traffic signals.
• Alerts motorists to the presence of children by displaying appropriate signs.
• Places and removes school zone signs.
• Reports motorists who violate school zone traffic laws to appropriate supervisor.
• Uses good judgment when making decisions that impact the safety and care for students and adults.
