Job summary

Rudy Elementary School in Colorado Springs is seeking a Crossing Guard for an important part-time, hourly role. You will assist students crossing streets at an assigned post, directing traffic and ensuring safety with a stop sign and reflective gear.

The position is non-exempt, starting immediately, with schedule TBD. Applicants must be 18+, have a high school diploma or equivalent, and be legally authorized to work in the United States.

Qualifications

• Be a minimum of 18 years of age.
• High School diploma or equivalent required.
• Citizenship, residency or work visa required.
• Ability to work outdoors in all weather conditions.

Responsibilities

• Directs students and traffic at crosswalks to ensure safe crossing.
• Reports to Principal and communicates with District as required.
• Uses stop sign, vest, whistle and cones as assigned.
• Monitors student behavior and enforces safety procedures.
• Records incidents and cooperates with police when needed.
