Job summary

Keller ISD is seeking a Crossing Guard at Shady Grove Elementary in Keller, Texas. The role involves helping students and families cross streets safely during designated hours, under minimal supervision, with emphasis on attentiveness and safety.

The position is part-time with hourly pay between $13.15 and $15.47, and reports to the Campus Principal. Applicants should have a high school diploma (preferred) and be able to communicate clearly and follow district safety protocols.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent (preferred)
• Experience working with children (preferred)
• Knowledge of pedestrian safety rules and vehicular laws
• Ability to communicate effectively
• Ability to read, understand, and follow written instructions
• Ability to identify and respond quickly to traffic safety hazards

Responsibilities

• Assist students and parents in crossing the street safely.
• Report any areas of concern to the campus principal.
• Correct unsafe conditions in work area and report to supervisor immediately.
• Utilize effective communication skills; ensure that all interactions are supportive, courteous, and respectful.
