Job summary

Nexus Family Healing is seeking a part-time School Counselor to join Safe Harbor School in Manteno, IL, to provide and document therapeutic services for students according to their Individualized Education Plans.

This role collaborates with school staff, families and treatment teams, maintains confidential records, ensures compliance with ISBE and licensing guidelines, and supports a 0.5 FTE, 20-hour per week schedule with a salary range of $36,400–$41,600.

Qualifications

• 5+ years’ experience working with youth and/or families.
• Fully licensed in Illinois as a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC).
• Maintain First Aid/CPR/Infection Control/Blood Bourne Pathogen/Safe Crisis Management required.

Responsibilities

• Provide and document therapeutic services according to students’ IEP goals.
• Educate Manteno School staff and treatment team on therapeutic services and outcomes.
• Communicate with legal systems, schools and social service agencies; provide court testimony when necessary.
• Ensure compliance with governing agency and Nexus reporting requirements.
• Prepare and maintain records and reports for programs and services.
