Job summary

Discovery Academy Hyde is hiring a cleaner to maintain high standards of cleanliness under the Site Manager’s supervision. You will clean specified areas, operate cleaning equipment, and follow health and safety rules while protecting pupils and staff.

The role is part-time (12.5 hours/week) during term time plus four weeks, with a pro-rata annual salary of £8,395. This post requires safeguarding checks and DBS clearance as part of Victorious Academies Trust.

Qualifications

• Excellent cleanliness and attention to detail.
• Ability to follow cleaning schedules and safety procedures.
• Willingness to work as part of a site team.

Responsibilities

• Clean designated areas of the Academy site as directed by the Site Manager.
• Operate cleaning equipment such as vacuums and polishers.
• Follow health and safety procedures and use PPE as required.
• Maintain security by ensuring doors and windows are closed/locked when appropriate.
• Report faults in cleaning equipment and hazards promptly.
