Job summary

Scituate High School is seeking a dedicated Cafeteria Worker for a 4-hour daily shift within the Scituate Public Schools. You will assist with food preparation, serve meals to students and staff, and ensure compliance with USDA guidelines and safety standards in a fast-paced school kitchen.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED is required.
• Safe Serve or similar certified Food Safety certificate is required.
• Food Allergy Awareness Certification is required.
• Choke Safe Certification is required.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced operation and lift up to 50 lbs.
• Must be authorized to work in the United States on day one.

Responsibilities

• Prepares or assists in the preparation of a variety of foods following recipes and portions.
• Maintains clean and sanitary kitchen areas and storage spaces.
• Sets up serving lines and steam tables; serves food to students and staff.
• Follows safety and sanitation protocols and maintains logs.
• Operates POS system to record transactions and handle payments.
