GetHired, Inc. is seeking a School Nutrition Assistant (Part Time) to support the school cafeteria. You will help with food production, meal service, and sanitation under the Cafeteria Manager, ensuring meals meet quality standards and safety rules.

This role emphasizes customer service to students and staff, stock and inventory handling, and strict adherence to local health regulations. Previous kitchen experience and ServSafe certification are preferred.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of volume feeding and routine kitchen duties.
• Knowledge of general cooking, food storage and cleaning procedures.
• Ability to perform assigned tasks and follow instructions.
• Ability to work harmoniously with fellow employees and provide friendly service.
• Willingness to learn cooking and other food service duties.

Responsibilities

• Prepares school breakfasts, lunches and snacks as applicable.
• Sets up serving line with items in proper order and temperature.
• Uses serving utensils correctly to ensure proper portions.
• Provides outstanding customer service to students, parents, staff and visitors.
• Monitors temperatures of freezers and refrigerators and records logs daily.
• Assists Cafeteria Manager in receiving deliveries and maintaining inventory.
• Ensures compliance with state and local health regulations and program guidelines.
