Job summary

POLYTECH School District is seeking a Child Nutrition General Worker for 5 hours per day at POLYTECH High School. This ten-month, permanent part-time role starts as soon as possible and reports to the Child Nutrition Manager.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Criminal background check, TB test, and Child Protection Registry clearance required before start.
• Experience with large-scale cooking and food preparation preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assist with the preparation of baked and cooked food.
• Inspect food items for quantity, quality and compliance with health standards.
• Prepare and serve food according to planned menu and recipes.
• Evaluate prepared food for flavor, appearance, and temperature.
• Maintain a safe and sanitary kitchen environment and assist with cleaning.
• Restock disposable items and provide inventory data to the Child Nutrition Manager.
• Participate in required trainings and comply with district safety regulations.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
