Job summary

North Reading Public Schools is seeking an experienced Food Service Worker to join the secondary level team in North Reading, MA. The role offers part-time hours (22.5/wk) from 9:30 AM to 2:00 PM, with competitive hourly pay and a benefits package including health insurance.

Responsibilities include food prep, serving lunches, cash handling, and maintaining clean dining areas. Ideal candidates have prior school caf experience and ServSafe certification, with a commitment to a collaborative work

Qualifications

• 1 year past experience in school cafeteria and/or food service preferred.
• Hardworking and energetic.
• Works well with colleagues.
• Can work independently.
• ServSafe certification.
• High School/Trade School degree preferred.
• Citizenship, residency, or work visa required.

Responsibilities

• Assist in preparation of hot and cold foods.
• Serve lunch to students.
• Perform daily cleaning including ware washing.
• Cashiering.
• Work closely with the Lead Manager, Director of Food Services, and other staff on a daily basis.
