Job summary

Chartwells K12 in Ferndale, MI is hiring a part-time Food Service Worker for Ferndale Public Schools. Shift 9:00 am to 2:00 pm; days may vary. Prior food service experience required.

You will assist with food prep, service and basic food safety, while interacting with students and staff. Benefits include staff meals, shoe credit, and a $250 stay bonus. Pay ranges from $15.00 to $15.50 per hour, with opportunities for growth within the school dining program.

Responsibilities

• Prepares, presents and serves food as needed.
• Performs prep work such as washing, peeling, cutting and seeding fruits and vegetables.
• weighs and measures designated ingredients.
• Carries pans, kettles and trays of food to and from work stations.
• Stores food with wrapping, dating and rotation procedures.
• Cleans work areas, equipment and utensils.
• Serves customers in a friendly, efficient manner.
• Resolves customer concerns and relays information to supervisor.
• Ensures compliance with sanitation and safety requirements.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
