Job summary

First Student, Inc. is hiring a Part-Time School Bus Monitor/Aide in Benton Harbor, MI. You will help students board and exit the bus and assist children with special needs during transport while ensuring safety on every ride.

No prior experience is required; we provide safety training and industry-leading programs. Split AM/PM shifts offer weekday only hours with no nights or summers.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 21 years old.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Able to work flexible AM/PM split shifts.
• Physically able to assist students and perform emergency procedures.
• CPR/First Aid certification preferred.
• Friendly, reliable, and patient working with children.
• Team-oriented with a safety focus.

Responsibilities

• Help students safely board and exit the bus.
• Assist children with special needs during transport.
• Ensure students remain seated and follow bus safety rules.
• Communicate with the driver to maintain a safe ride.
• Provide care and encouragement to students daily.
