Job summary

Lake Local Schools is seeking a part-time School Bus Driver to ensure the safe transportation of students in Wood County, Ohio. The driver will report to the Transportation Supervisor and Local Superintendent and must meet ongoing health and regulatory requirements.

Responsibilities include pre-trip safety checks, maintaining discipline, and adhering to routes, schedules, and school policies while promoting positive public relations with students and staff.

Qualifications

• Valid driver's license.
• Completion of satisfactory pre-employment driver's training program, basic and advanced bus driver's education program; bus driver's certificate; valid CDL.
• High school graduate or equivalent.
• Be physically qualified as determined by an annual physical examination.
• Good health, high moral character, and good attendance record.

Responsibilities

• Safely transport school pupils following State of Ohio regulations and district policies.
• Maintain discipline on the bus and promote positive public relations through neat appearance and professional conduct.
• Perform preventive safety checks on the bus before each run.
• Ensure doors, lights, tires, and safety equipment are in proper working order.
• Maintain routes, schedules, and pupil lists as required by the district.
