Starting date is immediate; there is a local 5% salary supplement and a benefits package. This non-exempt position reports to the Principal/Assistant Principal and is part-time.

Qualifications

• Graduation from high school or equivalent.
• Valid North Carolina Class A or Class B CDL with school bus certification.
• Ability to perform pre-trip and post-trip inspections and report defects.

Responsibilities

• Perform pre-trip and post-trip inspections and document inspections as required.
• Operate the assigned school bus on the route(s) and schedule provided.
• Obey all traffic laws and school bus regulations while operating the bus.
• Maintain discipline of students on the bus per school policies.
• Complete all required reports including accidents or incidents.
• Secure the bus before leaving the vehicle at the end of a run or route.
