Job summary

Foundation Academies in Trenton, NJ is hiring a part-time School Bus Driver. You will transport scholars safely, perform daily inspections, and help manage trip logistics across two campuses. The role requires a valid CDL with S and P endorsements, drug testing, and a DOT medical certificate.

Prior bus driving experience is preferred. We offer merit-based pay increases, paid sick and personal days, and ongoing professional development.

Qualifications

• CDL license with S (School Bus) and P (Passenger) endorsements.
• Pre-employment drug test required.
• NJ DOT Medical Examiner’s Certificate required.
• Completion of Training Program for School Bus Drivers and Aides.
• 2 years of school bus driving experience preferred.
• Reliable transportation to travel between locations.

Responsibilities

• Ensure safety and well-being of scholars while boarding, riding, and exiting the bus.
• Follow traffic laws, policies, and safety procedures in all operations.
• Provide first response for minor injuries or emergencies on the bus.
• Maintain orderly and positive environment during trips.
• Perform daily bus inspections and monitor vehicle condition (tires, brakes, lights, oil, fuel, water, safety equipment).
• Report bus malfunctions or maintenance needs to Senior Director of Operations.
