Job summary

First Student is seeking a Part Time School Bus Driver in Pontiac, Michigan to start mornings and end afternoons with safe student transport. No experience is required, as training is provided, with the option for field trips and additional hours for events.

Earn $25.00 per hour with benefits including health, dental, vision, life insurance, a 401(k) match, and a guaranteed minimum of six hours per day. Sign-on bonuses and advancement opportunities are available across 540 locations.

Qualifications

• Must have valid CDL-A or CDL-B with Passenger and School Bus endorsements.
• Must pass DOT drug testing as a safety-sensitive employee.
• Must be at least 21 years old and have a valid driver’s license for at least 3 years.

Responsibilities

• Safely transport students to and from school and activities.
• Supervise boarding and unloading; assist with seatbelts and mobility aids.
• Maintain order on the bus and conduct pre-trip/post-trip inspections.
• Report issues and communicate delays to dispatch and parents.
