Job summary

First Student, Inc. is hiring part-time School Bus Drivers in New Fairfield, CT. You will start mornings with student pickups and afternoon routes home, with opportunities for field trips and events.

No experience needed; paid training and guidance are provided to help you become a safe professional bus driver. Enjoy a part-time, flexible schedule with split AM/PM routes, weekdays only, and no nights or summers.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 21 years old.
• Valid driver's license for a minimum of 3 years.
• Ability to work a part-time schedule.
• Enjoy working with students.

Responsibilities

• Safely transport students to and from school and school activities.
• Assist students with boarding, unloading, seatbelts, and mobility aids.
• Maintain a safe and orderly environment on the bus.
• Conduct pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections.
• Report maintenance concerns promptly.
• Keep the bus clean and sanitary.
• Follow all traffic laws and company safety standards.
• Communicate effectively with parents, school staff, and dispatch.
• Provide excellent customer service and leadership.
