Job summary

First Student in Gates, OR is hiring a Part Time School Bus Driver to safely transport students to and from school with a guaranteed three-hour daily shift (1.5 hours in the morning and 1.5 in the afternoon), four days per week. Training is provided, no experience required, and there are opportunities for extra hours on field trips and events.

As part of a nationwide network, you will join a team dedicated to safety, reliability, and serving families.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 21 years old.
• Valid driver's license for at least 3 years.
• No experience required; training provided.
• Part-time schedule with a guaranteed three-hour daily shift.

Responsibilities

• Safely transport students to and from school and activities.
• Supervise boarding and unloading; assist with seatbelts and mobility aids.
• Maintain order on the bus to prevent distractions.
• Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections (brakes, lights, tires, emergency exits).
• Report mechanical issues promptly and keep the bus clean and sanitary.
• Obey all traffic laws and company safety standards.
• Communicate with parents, school staff, and dispatch about student behavior or delays.
