Job summary

CANOPS is seeking a Part-Time School Bus Driver in Indiana to transport students for internships, field studies, and events. You will operate morning, evening, and mid-day routes within a dynamic, educational transportation model, prioritizing safety and reliability.

Flexibility, teamwork, and a student-centered approach are essential. The role may evolve toward full-time as needs arise, with a focus on safe vehicle operation and timely schedules.

Qualifications

• Possession of a valid driver's license with CDL and School Bus Endorsements.
• Valid Yellow Card certification and appropriate state/local bus training.
• Minimum 2 years of professional driving experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Drives a school bus safely on time schedules, transporting students to and from schools and activities.
• Supports traditional routes and mid-day shuttle routes to expand experiential learning access.
• Maintains order and discipline; reports incidents and handles safety checks daily.
• Performs loading/unloading of students, ensures secure handoffs to authorized individuals.
• Participates in driver training and safety meetings to stay compliant.
