Job summary

First Student in Rantoul, IL is hiring Part Time School Bus Drivers to start mornings with before-school pickup and finish with afternoon drop-off. No prior experience required as we provide training and CDL instruction.

You'll drive safely, supervise boarding, and communicate with staff and parents. Part-time, flexible shifts, with opportunities for additional trips and field work across locations.

Qualifications

• At least 21 years old.
• Valid driver's license for at least 3 years.
• Part-time schedule with before/after school routes.
• Willing to train for CDL and CLP; no experience necessary.

Responsibilities

• Safely transport students to and from school and activities.
• Supervise boarding and unloading; assist with seatbelts.
• Maintain order on the bus and conduct pre/post-trip inspections.
• Communicate with parents, staff, and dispatch about delays.
• Demonstrate strong customer service and leadership.
