First Student is hiring Part Time School Bus Drivers in Newman, CA. You will start mornings with pickups and transport students home in the afternoon, with extra hours possible for field trips.

Training is provided, no experience is required, and you’ll be part of a safety-first team serving families across the community. Qualifications

• No experience is necessary to become a school bus driver; expert training is provided.
• Must be at least 21 years old and hold a valid driver's license.
• License must be maintained for driving with a CDL apprenticeship as applicable.
• Part-time, year-round schedule with AM/PM routes; no nights or summers required.
• DOT drug testing applies as safety-sensitive employment.

Responsibilities

• Safely transport students to and from school and activities.
• Supervise boarding and unloading; assist with seatbelts and mobility aids.
• Maintain order on the bus and cleanliness.
• Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections; report issues promptly.
• Communicate with parents, school staff, and dispatch about delays or behavior.
• Demonstrate leadership and customer service in daily operations.
