Job summary

Shawnee Heights USD 450 Transportation Buildings & Grounds in Tecumseh, Kansas, seeks a School Bus Driver. CDL with passenger endorsement is helpful but not mandatory; training provided. 4 hours/day guaranteed for two-route drivers, with morning and afternoon routes.

Starting pay is $21.60 per hour. Health insurance is paid for drivers, and you may bring your children to work. CDL assistance is offered. Physical and drug screening required, must work with students and follow safety rules.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent.
• Physical and drug screening required; TB test may be included.
• Valid Kansas CDL with required endorsements.
• Defensive Driving, CPR, and First Aid Certification required.
• At least one year of motor-vehicle driving experience.
• Behind-the-wheel training completed.

Responsibilities

• Provide clean, safe, and reliable transportation for students.
• Ensure all activities conform to state transportation guidelines.
• Communicate effectively with staff and the community.
• Operate the bus and equipment as necessary.
• Follow district health and safety policies and report incidents.
