Job summary

First Student, Inc. in Woolwich, ME is hiring a part-time School Bus Driver to transport students to and from school and activities. The job offers a $5,000 sign-on bonus and an hourly rate of $27.83, with weekdays-only shifts and no nights or summers required.

Qualifications

• Must have current CDL.
• Must have Passenger (P) endorsement.
• Must have School Bus (S) endorsement.
• Air Brake qualification with no Air Brake restriction.
• Minimum of one year of school bus driving experience.

Responsibilities

• Safely transport students to and from school and activities.
• Supervise boarding and unloading at stops; assist students with seatbelts and mobility aids.
• Maintain order on the bus to prevent distractions.
• Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections (brakes, lights, tires, emergency exits).
• Report mechanical issues promptly and keep the bus clean and sanitary.
