Qualifications

• Valid Occupational Therapist license issued by the Illinois Department of Professional Regulations.
• Bachelor's degree in occupational therapy.
• Clinical experience in a public school setting; Spanish fluency preferred.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate students to determine eligibility for OT services.
• Develop and implement treatment programs with parents and school staff including scheduling sessions and communicating follow-up.
• Participate in Problem Solving Team Meetings, annual reviews, and IEP meetings as appropriate.
• Maintain accurate written records in compliance with District 50 and AOTA guidelines.
• Maintain an inventory and assess the need for new equipment/supplies on a yearly basis.
• Supervise a Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) if appropriate.
