Job summary

The Home for Little Wanderers is seeking a Part-Time School-Based Clinician at Cobble Hill School of American Studies High School in Brooklyn, NY. The role delivers age-appropriate program activities and direct services, outreach, and billing/clinical documentation. The position reports to Site Manager/Clinical Program Manager and is 3-4 days a week.

Salary is $27.84–$31.25 per hour. The role includes working school hours with some evenings or weekends for events and professional development

Qualifications

• Advanced degree in mental health/counseling (e.g., MSW, M.S. Ed in Counseling, MFT, etc.)
• Licensed professional strongly preferred
• Clinical supervision and client contact hours towards independent licensure
• 1-3 years’ experience working within or managing programs serving youth and families
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to approach challenges in a supportive and creative manner
• Excellent organizational and prioritization skills
• Flexible schedule and willingness to work school hours as well as some weekends/evenings in support of school events
• Bilingual Spanish a plus

Responsibilities

• Maintain a caseload of students and track attendance and progress.
• Provide individual and group counseling weekly.
• Support classroom sessions – Advisory, Side by Side, and SEL curriculum.
• Outreach to students and families, including calls and home visits.
• Facilitate communication between students, families and school staff.
• Provide crisis counseling and social-emotional support.
• Complete screenings, assessments, treatment plans, and progress notes.
• Ensure documentation for clinical and billing purposes (EMR Dr. Cloud).
• Participate in PBIS and multi-tiered supports in the school.
• Collaborate with school staff and Wediko for individualized plans.
• Occasional evenings and weekend hours for events.
• Represent the organization in panels, conferences, meetings.
