Job summary

Point Quest Group is seeking an Educational Audiologist for a part-time, on-site role in Carlsbad, NM. The position requires an active New Mexico Audiologist license with PreK-12 endorsement and at least one year of educational audiology experience.

Travel between school sites is required. Responsibilities include evaluating students, interpreting test results, fitting classroom amplification, and collaborating with IEP teams to support hearing-impaired students.

Qualifications

• Valid NM Audiologist license with ISP license for PreK-12 endorsement
• Doctoral degree in Audiology from an accredited program
• Minimum one year of educational audiologist experience
• Valid driver's license (travel between school sites)
• Background check/fingerprint clearance and TB clearance
• Preferred: experience in an IEP team framework
• Strong skill in interpreting and reporting audiometric data
• Ability to work with diverse student and family populations

Responsibilities

• Examine students with hearing, balance, and related concerns
• Assess exam results and diagnose student hearing needs
• Interpret audiological test results and make IEP recommendations
• Select and fit classroom amplification systems
• Monitor progress and adjust amplification as needed
• Participate as an IEP team member in decisions regarding student services
• Counsel students, staff, and families on communication strategies
• Educate students on hearing loss prevention
