Job summary

Healthy Kids Programs is hiring School-Age Childcare Staff for our Before and After School Programs in Connecticut for the 2026–2027 school year. The role focuses on supervising children ages 5–12, facilitating activities, and ensuring safety and positive learning experiences.

The schedule follows the school calendar with morning and/or afternoon shifts (7:00–8:50am; 3:00–5:30pm). Part-time, non-exempt position with employer-paid childcare benefits and opportunities for growth.

Qualifications

• 18 years or older and a High School Diploma or equivalent.
• 1 year of experience working with kids under 13 preferred.
• Required health clearance, including TB screening, per state regulations.
• Positive attitude, strong interpersonal skills, professionalism and reliability.
• Physically able to bend, stretch, lift and carry up to 50 pounds while engaging with children.

Responsibilities

• Facilitate hands-on activities following the Healthy Kids Curriculum including fitness, STEAM, academic, art and group activities.
• Provide a safe, healthy and fun environment and act as a positive role model.
• Observe state guidelines and program policies, and assist with host school rules.
• Support program operations such as attendance, registration and staffing.
