A community-based organization in Wisconsin is seeking a part-time School Age Child Care Assistant Teacher to make a lasting impact in the lives of children. In this role, you will assist the Site Supervisor in creating a safe and engaging environment for children in grades K–6. Ideal candidates will have experience working with children, strong communication skills, and a passion for education. Pay ranges from $12 to $14 per hour, requiring CPR certifications within 60 days.
Qualifications
Must meet the qualifications for Assistant Teacher under DCF 251 Licensing Rules.
Experience working with children ages 5–12 preferred.
Positive attitude and a passion for working with school-age kids.
Responsibilities
Assist with supervision and engagement of children in daily activities.
Support the implementation of curriculum, games, crafts, and learning opportunities.
Help ensure a safe, clean, and welcoming environment for all participants.
Promote positive behavior and serve as a role model for children.
Assist with daily routines such as check-in/out, snack distribution, and transitions.
Build strong relationships with children, families, and fellow staff.
Maintain program policies and help ensure compliance with licensing standards.
