Job summary

A community-based organization in Wisconsin is seeking a part-time School Age Child Care Assistant Teacher to make a lasting impact in the lives of children. In this role, you will assist the Site Supervisor in creating a safe and engaging environment for children in grades K–6. Ideal candidates will have experience working with children, strong communication skills, and a passion for education. Pay ranges from $12 to $14 per hour, requiring CPR certifications within 60 days.

Qualifications

• Must meet the qualifications for Assistant Teacher under DCF 251 Licensing Rules.
• Experience working with children ages 5–12 preferred.
• Positive attitude and a passion for working with school-age kids.

Responsibilities

• Assist with supervision and engagement of children in daily activities.
• Support the implementation of curriculum, games, crafts, and learning opportunities.
• Help ensure a safe, clean, and welcoming environment for all participants.
• Promote positive behavior and serve as a role model for children.
• Assist with daily routines such as check-in/out, snack distribution, and transitions.
• Build strong relationships with children, families, and fellow staff.
• Maintain program policies and help ensure compliance with licensing standards.
