McCain Foods USA, Inc. in Grand Island, NE is hiring a Part-Time Sanitation Worker to maintain a clean, safe production area by cleaning and sanitizing equipment, work surfaces, and containers in a permanent part-time role.

Shifts are day hours 6:00 AM–6:00 PM, up to 30 hours weekly, with 1–2 workdays on average. The position requires lifting up to 30 lbs, standing, walking, and following GMPs, safety and chemical handling procedures in a manufacturing environment.

Qualifications

• Manufacturing, sanitation, or food production experience preferred.
• Ability to work safely around production equipment and cleaning chemicals.
• Ability to lift up to 30 lbs. and perform frequent standing, walking, and bending.
• Must be able to obtain forklift certification and follow food safety and sanitation standards.

Responsibilities

• Clean equipment and work areas following sanitation practices.
• Identify and correct unsanitary practices and conditions.
• Assist with cleaning assets and equipment as required.
• Adhere to safety rules, PPE, and lock-out/tag-out procedures.

The Part-Time Line Sanitor is responsible for maintaining a clean, safe, and sanitary food production environment by cleaning and sanitizing processing equipment, work areas, containers, and assigned assets during operations. This role supports food safety and quality standards by following sanitation procedures, GMPs, safety protocols, and chemical handling requirements while ensuring compliance with company policies and regulatory standards. This is a permanent position with McCain Foods!

Enjoy a flexible part-time schedule of up to 30 hours per week, with day shift hours between 6:00 AM and 6:00 PM and an average of 1 to 2 workdays per week.

Accountabilities

• Cleans equipment and work areas as assigned by Sanitation Supervisor by following good sanitation practices.
• Identifies and corrects unsanitary practices and conditions.
• Cleans and sanitizes steel bins, blue barrels, and grey barrels as required.
• Assists Process/Packaging Operator cleaning assigned assets.
• Ensures hoses are stored properly and water valves are closed when not in use.
• Operates Overhead Lift for Sanitation duties.
• Strictly adheres to all company and plant policies concerning safety, performing proper Lock-Out, Tag-Out procedures, using proper lifting techniques, wearing effectively all personal protective equipment (PPE) as required, proper walking/stepping and all other safety procedure related to your duties.
• Adheres to all company and plant polices related to GMP’s.
• Adheres to all company and plant policies, work rules and procedures.
• Regular and consistent attendance is essential for meeting performance expectations of the position.

Compensation Package:

Starting at $24.59 USD hourly + bonus eligibility + hourly pay differential for applicable shifts
