Job summary

CSU Northridge Associated Students invites applications for a Sport Clubs Coach III (Salsa Libre – Follow). This seasonal, hourly, part-time role is based in Northridge and runs from September through May, teaching a range of dancers from beginners to competitors and coordinating practices.

Bachelor’s Degree preferred; candidates should have intercollegiate or professional coaching experience and demonstrate leadership, communication, and organizational skills.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree preferred.
• Minimum intercollegiate or professional competition experience and/or professional coaching experience.
• High School Graduate/GED required.
• Ability to communicate with a diverse student population; demonstrated leadership and organizational skills.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate practices and routines; assist at competitions.
• Teach beginners to experienced dancers; instruct fundamentals and advanced technique.
• Assist club leadership with goals and action plans for the academic year.
• Perform other duties to support the department, division, and university.
• Travel may be required for some competitions.
