Summary
The Sales Teammate position’s primary responsibility is to fulfill our mission statement: “To create the most enjoyable shopping experience possible for our Guests.” Additionally, Sales Teammates perform a variety of sales, merchandising, and operational tasks assigned by Store Management (e.g., cashiering, merchandise display, register procedures, and routine cleaning of facilities).

Essential Duties And Responsibilities
This description outlines the general nature and level of work performed by Teammates in this role. It is not exhaustive of all duties, responsibilities, and qualifications. Responsibilities include:
  • Customer Service & Sales Generation: Greet Guests warmly, answer questions, recommend merchandise, anticipate needs, demonstrate product knowledge, and share current promotions and policies. Achieve personal sales goals and provide legendary service across all store areas.
  • Guest Relationship & Loyalty: Build and maintain good Guest relationships, develop a client-based business, and understand Buckle’s customer service standards.
  • Teammate Development & Recruitment: Recognize recruiting opportunities, create relationships through Guest Loyalty programs, and foster a positive team environment.
  • Visual Merchandising: Present merchandise to maximize sales, stay current on product range, and collaborate on product feedback.
  • Operations: Work flexible hours, operate cash registers, follow security and loss prevention protocols, perform merchandising tasks, and maintain a clean, organized store environment.
  • Additional Duties: Support special projects and perform other duties as assigned.

Supervisory Responsibilities: None.

Qualifications: No prior experience required.

Physical Demands: Regular standing, walking, handling, reaching, climbing, stooping, and lifting up to 30 lbs. Vision and mobility requirements are specified.
