Job Title: Sales Teammate
The primary responsibility of the Sales Teammate is to fulfill our mission: “To create the most enjoyable shopping experience possible for our Guests.” Teammates perform sales, merchandising, and operational tasks as assigned by Store Management, including cashiering, merchandise display, register procedures, and cleaning.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities

Sales Generation and Guest Service
- Greet Guests warmly and provide legendary service.
- Answer questions about the store and merchandise.
- Assist Guests in locating and selecting merchandise based on their needs.
- Suggest additional items and create a positive shopping experience.
- Demonstrate product knowledge and share sales education.
- Stay informed about current promotions, policies, and security practices.
- Achieve personal sales goals and contribute to team targets.
- Provide excellent service in all store areas, including fitting rooms and checkout.
- Assist with fitting merchandise, checkout, and packaging.
- Handle exchanges and returns effectively, turning them into sales opportunities.
- Use the Sales Presentation Guide (SPG) daily to meet goals.
- Maintain good Guest relationships and develop a client-based business.
- Understand and uphold Buckle’s customer service standards.
- Perform leadership actions and uphold high standards consistently.
Teammate Recruiting, Training, and Development
- Recognize recruiting opportunities and utilize various channels.
- Build relationships through Guest Loyalty programs.
- Maintain professionalism and create a positive team environment.
- Present merchandise effectively and stay current on product range.
- Provide feedback on product improvements and new ideas.
Operations
- Work flexible hours including mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays.
- Operate cash registers, handle money, and perform balancing duties.
- Recognize and prevent security risks and thefts.
- Follow Loss Prevention guidelines and POS procedures.
- Perform merchandising tasks and maintain a clean, organized store.
- Report concerns and policy violations promptly.
- Adhere to Buckle’s Code of Ethics and policies.
- Contribute to a positive team environment and perform other duties as assigned.
Supervisory Responsibilities
This position does not have supervisory responsibilities.

Qualifications
No prior experience or training is required.
Physical Demands
The role requires standing, walking, handling objects, reaching, climbing, stooping, and lifting up to 30 lbs. Specific vision abilities are necessary. The work environment is typically moderate noise.
