Job description

JOB SUMMARY


Assists Store Management with in-store supervision, including directing personnel. Provides effective leadership to all associates and displays the highest level of customer service in all areas. This position functions as a front-line member of the Retail Store Leadership Team at our Southpark Meadows location in Austin, TX.


Responsibilities include:

  1. Greeting and assisting guests with merchandise selection and purchase.
  2. Resolving guest issues effectively.
  3. Keeping the supervisor informed of product, guest, and personnel issues.
  4. Monitoring and approving guest returns according to retail policies.
  5. Monitoring associates' guest service levels and providing feedback.
  6. Utilizing the GUESTS program during guest interactions and handling guest-owned jewelry.
  7. Preparing and reviewing supply orders from the warehouse and other purchasing channels.
  8. Performing leadership duties for store opening and closing.
  9. Providing training and leadership to associates, including regular and seasonal training, and delegating tasks.
  10. Assisting with inventory processes, including cycle counts, adjustments, shipping, and receiving, and reporting issues.
  11. Participating in store meetings and company events or promotions.
  12. Developing team-building activities.
  13. Monitoring product trends and communicating changes to the District Manager.

Product Care:

  1. Be fully trained to operate all service equipment and chemicals used for in-store services.
  2. Ensure product care services meet operational standards.

Visual Merchandising:

  1. Perform staging, setup, maintenance, and replacement of display items following visual guidelines.
  2. Assist in maintaining store presentation standards.

Additional duties include processing employee purchases, ensuring security procedures, creating employee schedules, and maintaining safety and policy adherence. The role requires strong communication, organizational skills, multitasking ability, and adherence to all safety and company policies.

OTHER DUTIES:

  1. Lead in the absence of other leadership team members.
  2. Build effective relationships internally and externally.
  3. Collaborate across teams to foster trust and credibility.
  4. Assist in other areas as assigned.

WHAT YOU WILL NEED:

  1. High school diploma or equivalent, with at least 1 year of retail or customer service experience preferred, or equivalent education/experience. Supervisory experience is a plus.
  2. Ability to pass background and drug screenings as per company standards.
