Job description

JOB SUMMARY


Assists Store Management with in-store supervision, including directing personnel. Provides effective leadership to all associates and displays the highest level of customer service. This position functions as a front-line member of the Retail Store Leadership Team at our Bar W Marketplace location in Leander, TX.


Responsibilities include:

  1. Greeting and assisting guests with merchandise selection and purchase.
  2. Resolving guest issues effectively.
  3. Keeping the supervisor informed of product, guest, and personnel issues.
  4. Monitoring and approving guest returns in accordance with retail policies.
  5. Monitoring associates' guest service levels and providing feedback.
  6. Utilizing GUESTS program when interacting with guests and handling guest-owned jewelry.
  7. Preparing and reviewing supply orders from the JAC warehouse and other channels.
  8. Performing leadership duties for store opening and closing.
  9. Providing leadership and training to associates, focusing on guest service and sales.
  10. Assisting in inventory processes, cycle counting, and merchandise shipping/receiving.
  11. Participating in store meetings and company events.
  12. Developing team-building activities.
  13. Monitoring product trends and communicating changes to the District Manager.

Product Care:

  1. Be fully trained to operate all service equipment, including polish motors, weld equipment, and small tools.
  2. Ensure product care services meet operational standards.

Visual Merchandising:

  1. Perform staging, setup, maintenance, and replacement of display items following visual guidelines.
  2. Assist in maintaining store presentation standards.

Additional Duties:

  1. Process employee purchases and review schedules in the absence of management.
  2. Ensure security procedures are followed.
  3. Demonstrate strong communication, organizational, and multitasking skills.
  4. Adhere to safety regulations and company policies.

Other Responsibilities:

  1. Lead in the absence of other leadership team members.
  2. Build effective relationships within and outside the organization.
  3. Assist in other areas as assigned.

Qualifications:

  1. High school diploma or equivalent, with 1+ year retail or customer service experience preferred.
  2. Previous supervisory experience is preferred.
  3. Must pass background and substance screenings.
