JOB SUMMARY
Assists Store Management with in-store supervision, including directing personnel. Provides effective leadership to all associates and displays the highest level of customer service. This position functions as a front-line member of the Retail Store Leadership Team at our Bar W Marketplace location in Leander, TX.
Responsibilities include:
- Greeting and assisting guests with merchandise selection and purchase.
- Resolving guest issues effectively.
- Keeping the supervisor informed of product, guest, and personnel issues.
- Monitoring and approving guest returns in accordance with retail policies.
- Monitoring associates' guest service levels and providing feedback.
- Utilizing GUESTS program when interacting with guests and handling guest-owned jewelry.
- Preparing and reviewing supply orders from the JAC warehouse and other channels.
- Performing leadership duties for store opening and closing.
- Providing leadership and training to associates, focusing on guest service and sales.
- Assisting in inventory processes, cycle counting, and merchandise shipping/receiving.
- Participating in store meetings and company events.
- Developing team-building activities.
- Monitoring product trends and communicating changes to the District Manager.
Product Care:
- Be fully trained to operate all service equipment, including polish motors, weld equipment, and small tools.
- Ensure product care services meet operational standards.
Visual Merchandising:
- Perform staging, setup, maintenance, and replacement of display items following visual guidelines.
- Assist in maintaining store presentation standards.
Additional Duties:
- Process employee purchases and review schedules in the absence of management.
- Ensure security procedures are followed.
- Demonstrate strong communication, organizational, and multitasking skills.
- Adhere to safety regulations and company policies.
Other Responsibilities:
- Lead in the absence of other leadership team members.
- Build effective relationships within and outside the organization.
- Assist in other areas as assigned.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent, with 1+ year retail or customer service experience preferred.
- Previous supervisory experience is preferred.
- Must pass background and substance screenings.
