Norman’s Hallmark in Milltown, NJ is hiring a part-time Sales Associate to deliver a caring, customer-focused experience on the sales floor. You’ll learn our CARE program, assist customers, maintain displays, and help drive store goals.

The role requires minimum 16 years old, flexible schedule including evenings and weekends, basic math, cash handling, and the ability to stand for long periods; employees enjoy a 25% discount and regular incentive contests.

Qualifications

• 16 years of age or older.
• Flexible schedule including events, holidays, evenings, and weekends.
• Strong aptitude for basic math functions including percentages and general arithmetic.
• Ability to continuously stand/walk; frequently push/pull; occasionally bend/stoop/crawl/reach above shoulders/kneel; lift up to 40 pounds.

Responsibilities

• Infuse our Customer CARE program into the culture of the store in which you drive retail sales by genuinely connecting with the customer, building relationships, and earning her business.
• Belief that the customer always comes first and is the most important individual to our business.
• Meet store specific Crown Rewards program enrollment goals on a consistent basis.
• Ability to learn and be efficient with our register system to ensure a pleasant point of sale experience for our customers. Accountable for cash register accuracy and basic mathematical skills.
• Learn and utilize outstanding selling skills during customer interactions to build sales and drive customer satisfaction.
• Proactively learn retail product knowledge for all merchandise to use when selling to the customer.
• Maintain and restock displays as directed by store management.
• Perform additional duties as assigned.
