Job summary

Norman’s Hallmark in Annapolis, MD is seeking a qualified Part Time Sales Associate at our Annapolis Harbour Center location. Join a premier, employee-owned retailer focused on delivering a caring, memorable shopping experience and helping customers celebrate life’s moments.

You will be the face of the store on the floor, greet customers, assist with product knowledge, operate the register, and support store goals. Flexible scheduling, weekend shifts, and a 25% merchandise discount are available.

Qualifications

• Must be 16 years of age or older.
• Ability to work a flexible schedule that meets the needs of the business, including events, holidays, evenings, and weekends.
• Strong aptitude for basic math functions including percentages and general arithmetic.
• Ability to continuously stand/walk; frequently push/pull; occasionally bend/stoop/crawl/reach above shoulders/kneel; climb a ladder, and carry up to 40 pounds, e.g., fixture parts and cartons.

Responsibilities

• Infuse our Customer CARE program into the culture of the store in which you drive retail sales by genuinely connecting with the customer, building relationships, and earning her business.
• Belief that the customer always comes first and is the most important individual to our business.
• Meet store specific Crown Rewards program enrollment goals on a consistent basis.
• Ability to learn and be efficient with our register system to ensure a pleasant point of sale experience for our customers. Accountable for cash register accuracy and basic mathematical skills.
• Learn and utilize outstanding selling skills during customer interactions to build sales and drive customer satisfaction.
• Proactively learn retail product knowledge for all merchandise to use when selling to the customer.
• Maintain and restock displays as directed by store management.
• Perform additional duties as assigned.
