Role Description

This is a part-time on-site role for a Safety/EHS Officer, located in the Rockville, MD. The Safety/EHS Officer will be responsible for implementing and maintaining health and safety programs, conducting regular safety inspections, ensuring compliance with local, state and federal regulations, and promoting a culture of safety within the organization. Other tasks include performing risk assessments, generating reports, and providing training and guidance to employees to enhance workplace safety.

Qualifications

  • Experience in Workplace Safety
  • Expertise in Health & Safety, Environment Health and Safety (EHS), and Occupational Health
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment
  • Bachelor’s degree in Environmental Health, Occupational Health, or a related field is preferred
  • Certifications in EHS or related areas are a plus
