Harford County Public Schools is seeking a part-time Safety Compliance Specialist (18 hours/week or less) in the Central Office - Facilities. The role focuses on developing, implementing, and monitoring workplace safety programs to meet Maryland Heat Stress standards and other regulations.

The candidate will conduct risk assessments, provide training, and support compliance with federal, state, and local laws across Harford County facilities.

Formación

• Bachelor's degree in a related field with 3 years of direct safety focused experience OR 5 years with an A.A. in a related field.
• Experience in a safety-related role, preferably with adults.
• Certified Safety Professional (CSP) and related certifications.
• Strong knowledge of federal, state, and local safety regulations (OSHA, MOSH, EPA).
• Excellent communication, interpersonal, and training skills.

Responsabilidades

• Develops, implements, and maintains safety programs and procedures in compliance with regulations.
• Delivers safety training for employees at all levels.
• Stays current on safety regulations and best practices.
• Ensures organizational compliance with safety laws and regulations.
• Assists with safety audits and reporting by external agencies.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
