RTV RETURNS INSPECTOR – Techtronic Industries, NA (TTI)

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Inspect and analyze components of the returned product to determine whether credit should be issued.
  • Verify the purchase date if available, determine whether the product was returned within the Customer Satisfaction period (30 Days for Outdoor Power & 90 Days for Power tools).
  • If no purchase date, determine whether the product was returned within the TTI grace period (24 months from product date code).
  • Inspect the product for customer abuse or misuse.
  • Ensure all major parts are included in the return (Major parts list by category will be supplied).
  • Record the status (credit/no credit) of each product inspected.
  • Maintain constant communication with The Home Depot associates working in the facility.
  • Clearly communicate the product status and reason for your decision to The Home Depot associates for all products inspected.
  • Strive to meet the company's goals of continual improvement in the areas of knowledge, skills, processes and quality.
  • Performs other duties as assigned and deemed necessary.

Position Details:

  • 3rd Shift
  • Friday, Saturday, Sunday
  • 6:00 AM – 4:30 PM (10 hour shifts)
  • Part Time / Temporary Position
  • Target Employment Length is approximately 6 months
  • Employment Length subject to workload demand at the facility
  • Notice of approximately two-weeks, more if possible, will be given prior to the end of employment
  • Eligibility to transition to full-time if positions open / become available based on performance in part-time role

Compensation and Benefits:

  • Salary Non-Exempt Position (Overtime Eligible)
  • Starting Rate - $20.50/hour
  • 401K (Company Matches 50% up to 8% of Salary)
  • PTO Accrual of 1 hour / 30 hours worked

Education and Experience Requirements:

  • A. EQUIVALENT EDUCATION LEVEL REQUIRED: 2 year degree or HS diploma with equivalent experience.
  • B. EXPERIENCE REQUIRED: Up to 1 to 2 years experience.
  • C. KNOWLEDGE REQUIRED: Must have working knowledge with power tools and/or outdoor power equipment including their designs and uses. Must be knowledgeable of inspection and analysis techniques.
  • D. QUALIFICATIONS REQUIRED: Analytical; detail oriented; strong communication skills; demonstrate strong work ethic and PC literate. Capable of lifting and transporting heavy tools and equipment (up to 50 lbs.) and requesting assistance as needed. Capable of reaching and/or lifting overhead. Valid driver's license required. Relocation may be required for future promotional opportunities.
