Qualifications

• Minimum of an associate degree in electronics engineering or related field.
• Five years of experience in a field related to the course to be taught, or an active journeyman’s card.
• Evidence of successful prior teaching experience preferred.
• Commitment to improving student learning through innovative strategies.
• Effective communication and interpersonal skills for a community college environment.
• Ability to teach robotics and/or controls; experience with educational technology.

Responsibilities

• Adjunct faculty teach curriculum developed by the department.
• Plan and organize instruction to maximize student learning.
• Prepare and provide syllabi for all assigned sections per policies.
• Use appropriate teaching methods and instructional technology as available.
• Adapt instructional methods to meet diverse student needs.
• Support classroom and online efforts to promote student success.
• Evaluate and return student work promptly to foster learning.
• Maintain accurate records of student progress.
• Submit final grade rosters by deadlines.
• Maintain confidentiality of student information.
• Do not assign more than 12 credit hours per semester.
