CHRISTUS Health in Tyler, TX is seeking a part-time registered nurse to assess, plan, implement and coordinate patient care under physician supervision. You'll collaborate across departments, document thoroughly, and lead junior staff as needed.

Ideal candidates have an Associate's Degree in Nursing, an active RN license, and BLS; 1–3 years of experience preferred. This role emphasizes timely documentation, wound care expertise, and patient-family education.

Qualifications

• Associate's Degree in Nursing required.
• 1–3 years of nursing experience preferred.
• RN license in state of employment or compact required.
• BLS certification required.

Responsabilités

• Provide patient care using the nursing process and document initial histories within 24 hours.
• Assess patients pre- and post-wound care according to department policy.
• Develop and communicate a multidisciplinary care plan based on patient needs.
• Evaluate patient response and revise the care plan as needed.
• Ensure documentation supports reimbursement; administer medications and assist physicians.
• Identify urgent changes in patient condition and intervene appropriately.
• Educate patients and families on treatment plans, procedures, and disease processes; document education.
• Provide leadership for LPNs and other staff as directed.
• Complete AED, autoclave, glucometer, HBO list tasks with accurate documentation.
• Maintain treatment rooms, stock supplies, and handle ordering as needed.
• Coordinate patient/physician communication including scheduling and referrals.
