CHRISTUS Health in Tyler, TX seeks a registered nurse to provide routine and complex patient care in a fast-paced clinical setting. The nurse will practice independently, delegate as needed, and support long-range goals for patient care.

Requirements include a BSN (preferred), RN license in Texas or compact, and BLS certification. One year of related nursing experience is preferred; orientation and residency options are available for new hires.

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science Degree in Nursing preferred
• 1 year of experience in the related nursing specialty preferred
• BLS required
• RN License in state of employment or compact
• All newly hired experienced RNs must attend New Nurses Orientation within the first 30 days of hire

Responsabilités

• Provides nursing care utilizing the nursing process: assessment, diagnosis, planning, intervention and evaluation for assigned patients.
• Administers medications and treatments using appropriate protocol; monitors for side effects and effectiveness.
• Documents patient history, symptoms, medication and care given.
• Assesses learning needs and provides education to patients, family members and/or caregivers; identifies issues and resources.
