Job summary

Southwest Virginia Community College (SWCC) invites applications for part-time clinical instructors for the Registered Nursing Program in the Health Technologies Division. Positions are at the Cedar Bluff and Grundy locations, and require current RN licensure and nursing practice experience.

BSN is required (or ADN with enrollment in a BSN program); strong communication skills and ability to teach diverse adult learners are essential; travel may be required for clinical sites.

Qualifications

• BSN required (official transcripts are required) or an associate degree in nursing and actively enrolled in a baccalaureate program in nursing
• Must hold a current unencumbered RN license or a multi-state license privilege to practice nursing in Virginia
• Minimum of two years of direct client care experience as a licensed registered nurse
• Excellent oral and written communication skills
• Ability to work effectively with populations representing diverse ages, backgrounds, life experiences and abilities
