UPMC - Pittsburgh Medical Center is seeking a part-time nursing educator to oversee didactic and clinical instruction for nursing students. The role requires leadership of faculty, ensuring safe patient care and quality outcomes through effective teaching in both classroom and clinical settings.

The candidate must hold an MSN with at least 3 years of clinical practice, with precepting and teaching experience preferred.

Qualifications

• MSN and 3 years of clinical practice required.
• Precepting experience required; clinical teaching experience in prelicensure program preferred.
• Previous teaching experience preferred.
• Certified Nurse Educator certification preferred.
• Appointment and retention contingent upon PA State Board of Nursing approval.

Responsabilités

• Initiates opportunities to maintain and model the mission and values of the parent organization.
• Instructs nursing students in classroom and clinical settings and leads faculty to provide meaningful learning experiences.
• Provides guidance, evaluation and feedback to students in the clinical environment using the nursing process.
• Promotes evidence-based teaching practices and participates in school committees and quality improvement initiatives.
