Job summary
LCMC Health seeks an Registered Nurse (RN) for the Mothers/Baby Unit. You will care for mothers and newborns, assist with breastfeeding, and collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to support mother-infant bonding.
Follow infection-control practices and nursing protocols while communicating clearly with the care team. Louisiana RN license, BLS, and PALs within 6 months of hire are required; ongoing professional growth is encouraged.
Qualifications
- Current nursing license to practice in Louisiana is required.
- BLS certification from American Heart Association is required.
- PALs certification within 6 months of hire.
Responsibilities
- Provide compassionate nursing care to mothers and newborns on the Mothers/Baby Unit.
- Assist with breastfeeding support and education.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary team to promote mother–baby well-being and bonding.
- Apply the nursing process: assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation.
