Job summary

Shine is seeking a Part-time Registered Nurse to ensure medications align with physician orders, conduct monthly audits, and train staff across California programs.

In this role you will collaborate with physicians and administrators, review MARs and logs, develop corrective actions, and provide clinical coaching to LVNs and DSPs, supporting quality improvement and regulatory compliance.

Qualifications

• Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Nursing or related field preferred or equivalent years of work experience.
• Current and unencumbered license to practice as an RN in the state of California.
• 3+ year(s) experience clinical or home health work experience as an RN
• Reliable transportation to visit multiple locations across The Los Angeles area, Lancaster, and Yucca Valley

Responsibilities

• Conduct monthly medication audits across residential homes to ensure physician orders, policies and California regulations compliance.
• Review MARs, orders, medication logs and related docs to verify accuracy and regulatory compliance.
• Identify medication trends, discrepancies and improvement opportunities with corrective actions.
• Collaborate with physicians, pharmacists, admins and residential staff to promote safe medication practices.
• Track compliance metrics and provide regular leadership reports on audit findings.
• Develop and monitor corrective action plans to address audit findings and ensure sustained compliance.
• Provide clinical coaching and ongoing support to LVNs, DSPs and residential staff.
• Plan and facilitate quarterly medication management training for residential staff.
• Serve as a clinical resource for medication administration questions and regulatory compliance.
• Prepare audit reports with findings, trends, and progress updates for leadership.
