Job summary

Westview Manor of Peabody is seeking a detail-oriented RN or LPN with MDS experience to join our clinical leadership team as a Part-Time MDS Coordinator in Peabody, Kansas. The ideal candidate will coordinate resident assessments, develop individualized care plans, and ensure timely MDS submissions in compliance with CMS and state regulations.

Qualifications

• Current Kansas RN or LPN license in good standing.
• Experience with MDS in a skilled nursing or long-term care setting.
• Strong knowledge of the RAI process and Medicare/Medicaid reimbursement.
• Excellent assessment and clinical documentation skills.

Responsibilities

• Complete and submit all required MDS assessments accurately and within regulatory timeframes.
• Coordinate the Resident Assessment Instrument (RAI) process.
• Develop, review, and update individualized resident care plans.
• Participate in interdisciplinary care plan meetings.
• Review clinical documentation to ensure accuracy and support reimbursement.
• Monitor Quality Measures and assist with quality improvement initiatives.
• Prepare documentation for state surveys and regulatory audits.
• Collaborate with physicians, therapy, dietary, social services, and nursing staff.
• Provide education and guidance to nursing staff regarding documentation and MDS requirements.
• Assist the Director of Nursing and Administrator with clinical quality initiatives.
