Job summary

CPS Healthcare seeks a part-time RN or LPN to oversee healthcare delivery for the MAT program at the Kennebec County Jail in Augusta, ME. You'll work as part of a multidisciplinary team providing medical and mental health services within a correctional setting.

Responsibilities include emergency care, chronic disease management, detoxification, and coordination of inmate care. Maine licensure and CPR are required, with compensation based on licensure and experience, ranging from $33 to $50.50

Qualifications

• Graduate from a state or national approved nursing program.
• Currently licensed to practice as an RN or LPN in Maine.
• Knowledge of nursing care principles and clinical skills.
• Recognition of signs of mental illness or chemical dependency.
• Hold current CPR certification.

Responsibilities

• Provide nursing care and treatment to inmates as part of a multidisciplinary team.
• Deliver medical and mental health services, including emergency care and detoxification.
• Assess, monitor, and document patient conditions and progress.
• Administer medications and treatments per protocols and policies.
• Collaborate with medical, mental health, and correctional staff to ensure continuity of care.
• Develop individualized treatment plans and care strategies.
• Maintain compliance with state, federal, and facility regulations.
• Educate patients on health management, disease prevention, and wellness.
